IT’S DO OR DIE FOR AFGHANISTAN

OUR GREATEST GLORY IS NOT IN NEVER FALLING, BUT IN RISING EVERY TIME WE FALL ~ Sun Tzu

The TALIBAN has yet again caught hold of Afghanistan after 20 years, and experts around aren’t surprised, even I am not surprised.

People and governments all around the world are busy blaming all the major parties involved in the Afghanistan peace deal. But, I just want to question them, whether that blame game can amend things happening right now in Afghanistan?

The answer is IT CAN’T.

It was inevitable. It may sound discouraging and uncompassionate, even cold but what’s done is done, so what next?

When people talk about fallacies, half of them don’t recognize it, a majority don’t admit it and the mistake stays there forever. The ones who recognize and work upon them achieve greatness.

The major fallacy in the Afghanistan fiasco what I feel is that the people aren’t involved as they should be for their own country.

History is replete with examples of how simple people, fellow countrymen, working-class, middle class, upper class, students, activists, scholars, women irrespective of barriers of class, caste, color, creed, religion, wealth changed the course of the history of their country by fighting for her and not giving up on her even when the enemy seemed overwhelming because they are shared a powerful sense of purpose. It is always the people of a country who can bring peace to her and not others. Relying on others seems worryingly childish to me. As it is said, God helps those who help themselves then why can’t we apply this principle to free a nation from the shackles of terror and despair.

It should have always been this way. Though time is still not lost and the people of Afghanistan can still come together to take on this task if they ever have a dream of seeing their country developed, happy and prosperous where children can freely play and go to school, where girls can attain education without fear, where women have their head held high and participate at all levels for the welfare of their country, where men are not in constant terror of having their houses burned and family erased.

IF AFGHANISTAN STILL DREAMS OF FREEDOM, it can only be done by the collective initiative of THE PEOPLE THERE, by walking on the path of non-violence as preached by Gandhi. They have to take matters into their hand and should have the will to sacrifice for their country if need be so.

The enemy is one, TALIBAN &

The goal is one, FREEDOM.

The road in between is Struggle for Independence.

“The opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.” ~ Sun Tzu

The Taliban will surely be defeated because truth and justice always prevail. But, the people of Afghanistan need to help and aid their motherland and not run away.

If nothing then take the example of your fellow neighbor India, on how her people fought endlessly to achieve freedom so that the coming generation can live in a country

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high

Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depths of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

(Lines by Rabindranath Tagore)

Times may be different, but the struggles are still the same.

So, I urge fellow Afghani countrymen and women to strive for the freedom of their motherland. Only you can do it.

As I am writing this, I feel nothing but sorrow for such a plight of a beautiful country, on how we lost a nation that was so promising and was striving to stand on its own feet. But yet again all this crisis can be flipped by the efforts of her people.

“Victory comes from finding opportunities in problems.” ~ Sun Tzu

It might seem overly optimistic to write and say these things from a laptop, but the truth as I perceive it remains this. Evacuations are no solution, it’s abandoning your motherland. If people in India, Bangladesh, America, France, and others had done the same, they would have remained wounded nations, but they fought for their cause and achieved it.

“Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay its price.” ~ Sun Tzu
